Indoor vs Outdoor
Nothing can raise more passionate debate amongst marijuana aficionados than whether indoor marijuana is superior to outdoor marijuana.

Michael is both an indoor and outdoor cultivator, which gives him a unique perspective into the merits of each system. His collective, Peaceful Heart, is located in northern California, in one of the best growing environments on the coast.
Michael feels the growing medium is as important as the light source for a successful outcome and uses fertile topsoil, organic compost, and very little nutrients to feed his outdoor plants.
“You need to grow your soil to grow your plant,” explains Michael. “Everything a plant needs is in the soil if you take the time to care for it during the fallow season, by covering the ground with a 3” pile of straw hay.”
As the hay decomposes over winter, it creates a feeding ground for worms that leave behind their castings and enrich the soil. “Worms also break up the soil as they tunnel underground and that benefits drainage and gives your young plants plenty of ‘legroom’ to spread their roots,” he added. “And because the hay blocks out the sunlight, you won’t get any weeds.
Jackson only grows indoors, and very well, I might add. His product is so desired by local dispensaries that he is able to set his own price, even in this market that has seen the wholesale price of marijuana drop from a high of $6,800 to a recent low of $1,000 per pound.
